Personalisation & Design Proofs

Many South Yorkshire Engraving products can be personalised with names, dates, wording or photographs. This page explains how to provide your details and approve a design proof.

Before ordering

  • Read the individual product description to check what can be personalised.
  • Check the stated size, material, thickness and included fittings.
  • Confirm whether the listing includes a digital design proof.

Providing your details

Follow the instructions shown on the product page. Please provide names, dates and wording exactly as they should appear, including capital letters, punctuation and spelling.

For photo-engraved products, use a clear, high-resolution image with the subject in focus. Bright, well-lit photographs normally produce the strongest engraving result.

Design proofs

Where a product states that a proof is included, a digital layout will be supplied for checking before engraving begins. Please check all wording, dates, spelling and positioning carefully.

Request any changes before approving the proof. Once engraving has started, alterations might no longer be possible.

Materials and finished appearance

Wood and slate are natural materials, so colour, grain, texture and edges can vary slightly. Screen previews and digital mock-ups are intended to show the layout; the shade and engraving finish of the physical item can differ slightly.
